Ulrich is a goliath, 2,45 meter tall with blue lines swirling around on his body.
He was a smith, he learned the trade in a nearby dwarf city. He braved the descent from the mountains into the deep and began forming friendships there, traded a bit and at some point he learned some secrets about dwarven weapons.
He crafted his hammer himself. It cost him more than just the materials which were expensive enough considering the thing is made up entirely of metal. He has a big scar running across his chest, 4 red stripes. Hand to hand battle with bears does that to you.
He thinks about tactics a lot, even in battle he stays cool and looks after his friends. No one gets past Ulrich unless he wants them to.
In his search for Mira (the grand daughter) he stumbled upon Doctor Blitzmann. The good doctor offered him a position as a bodyguard and in return he would help him find his daughter if at all possible. Together they managed to destroy a corrupt mayor who poisoned his villagers into submission. After this, they split up. An old war comrade had found him and had some new information. It turned out to be lies. It took quite a blow, but he got knocked out and brought upon a ship. The assailants wanted to sell him and his gear but not long after they did the deed, Blitzmann along with a few other adventurers captured the ship and found him locked underneath deck.
